I have been searching for a cure for toenail fungus for a long time already. I don’t have toenail fungus but my mother and grandmother both have. I have read somewhere that toenail fungus can be hereditary or I have a greater likelihood of getting the disease since my other family members have the disease. And maybe, I can get easily exposed because I live in the same place with my mother and grandma. This disease is transmissible. Rags or other things used by infected persons can be a medium for fungi to transfer.
My mother has tried topical creams and oils but both were ineffective. Her nails are yellowed. I sometimes joke that they are witches’ nails. My mother is cool about it. I told her to stop taking prescription meds because of the side effects. Grandma has stopped treating her nails. She just asks me to cut her nails regularly. In my case, I try to prevent getting the disease by becoming overly hygienic on my feet. I know how mom and grandma suffered; I don’t want the same thing to happen to me.
